Homeowners Insurance for a Mobile Homes in Utah

Utah is a state that speaks of calmness and relaxation. In addition to the many sprawling busy neighborhoods in the large cities within this state, there are also over 250 mobile home parks. Many people choose this type of dwelling because they recognize not only the value they provide but they also see how spacious and attractive the manufactured homes that are being built today are.

Even though a top of the line mobile home is still just a fraction of the cost of a single family dwelling, its a substantial investment that needs to be protected. Just as most people who own a traditional home wouldnt think of going without home insurance, the same is true of folks who live in mobile homes. These types of structures should be insured up to their full value so that if anything does occur and the residence is damaged, the homeowner will be able to put their lives back together.

There are several different types of coverage that typically comprise a standard mobile homeowners insurance policy. These include:

Emergency Removal. Depending on where a person decides to place their mobile home, it can be in the path of a fast moving wild fire or threatened by a fire. If this is the case it may become necessary to move the home in an effort to save it. This coverage provides for that.

Liability. Liability coverage for a mobile home is very similar to that of a traditional house. This coverage is in place to protect the homeowner in the event that someone is injured while on their property.

Loss of use. If the home becomes unlivable following a fire or certain natural disasters, this type of coverage provides funds so the family can find other accommodations until their home is ready to be moved into again.

Weighing the benefits of each type of coverage will help the mobile homeowner to decide what is best for them. Its a good habit to review homeowner insurance needs every year or so to determine if the situation has changed at all including the value of the home itself.
